Ranveer Singh’s ‘Jadoo Ki Jhappi’ To PM Modi Is All Things Adorable!

Expressing his joy on meeting Modi, Ranveer shared a picture from the evening on Instagram and captioned it, " Jaadoo ki Jhappi!

Producer Mahaveer Jain, who along with filmmaker Karan Johar, initiated the move for a delegation of young Bollywood talents to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said that PM Modi wants the entertainment industry to be a more proactive part of the process of nation-building.

The meeting comes weeks after PM Modi met Bollywood producers and discussed issues faced by the industry. The bunch included Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Ayushmann Khurrana, Bhumi Pednekar, Rajkummar Rao, Vicky Kaushal, Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan, and filmmakers Ekta Kapoor, Karan Johar, Ashwiny Iyer and Rohit Shetty. The 46-year-old director wrote, 'Powerful and timely conversations can bring about change and this was one of what we hope will become a regular conversation.

Johar uploaded a selfie with Modi and the rest of the group on Instagram and described the meeting as "an incredible opportunity". The meeting was held to talk about how the industry has always played an important role in building a better nation, a better society through entertainment. It was an honour! and we are grateful for your support towards the film industry!

"When the youngest country [in terms of demography] joins hands with the largest movie industry in the world, we hope to be a force to reckon with", he wrote.

It's no surprise that Prime Minister Narendra Modi (C) remained the most searched newsmaker in India, and Radhul Gandhi (L) followed him at No.2.The former Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra made it to No. 3, thanks to his landmark verdicts on Triple Talaq and Article 377.

Karan thanked the government on behalf of the film industry for the GST reduction in movie ticket prices that was implemented recently.

Many celebs from the delegation, later, also took to their social media handles to share their pictures with the Prime Minister. He was also seen pretty alert when a few of the fans tried to get a bit close to click selfies with them.
