The sizable price tag could pose challenges for the early sales of the world's first rollable television, which dazzled onlookers at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2019, the President of LG Electronics Inc. has said. Whenever the TV is not in use, the screen can automatically roll down.

And while it certainly has a magical, sci-fi quality about it - how many TVs have you seen collapse in on themselves without being destroyed? - given its second-half 2019 release date, it'll soon be more fact than fiction. There's also Zero View that completely encases the TV in its base and lets you use its Dolby Atmos 100-watt soundbar as a speaker system for your living room. That means 120Hz and AI image processing using LG's new Alpha 9 Gen 2 CPU.

When in Zero View, all 65 inches of the LG SIGNATURE OLED TV R are hidden from view and tucked away in the base. The company opened a new era of innovation in the TV market, creating pioneering technologies like OLED TV and implementing an intuitive operating system to allow customers to experience the full benefits of smart TV technology. Toward the notion of big reveals taken literally, display and general electronics manufacturer LG has unveiled its latest display, a beastly 88-inch 8K OLED HDTV sporting in excess of 33 million pixels. To be called the Signature OLED TV R, the television has an ultra-thin, rollable display that disappears into a box at the press of a button.

LG has created two Crystal Sound technology OLED televisions generations already in the past.

The last feature is all part of LG's new WebOS 4.5 smart platform, which makes its debut on all of the 2019 LG UHD TVs. On Monday, Vizio and LG announced they were also adding support for AirPlay and HomeKit. Apple has traditionally been closed off when it comes to giving outside hardware companies access to its ecosystem, but it may recognize it as the key to growing its increasingly important services business, which includes apps, movies, TV shows and music.

Samsung has also announced it will support AirPlay 2, as well as having its own native iTunes app on its 2019 and 2018 TV models.
