Cody Rhodes on committing his life to AEW for the foreseeable future: "For me and for [Brandi], this is it though". While Jericho working outside of WWE isn't news, him joining a North American wrestling company seems like something that could irk Vince McMahon.

As reported by the Wrestling Observer, the company is headed up by Tony Khan, a lifelong wrestling fan and the son of Jacksonville Jaguars and Fulham owner Shahid Khan.

Chris Jericho was a guest on Busted Open Radio today, taking the time to discuss the behind the scenes happenings as AEW prepares for their second show, Double Or Nothing, and the other major plans ahead of them.

Jericho has now been making occasional appearances in New Japan Pro Wrestling, including their massive Wrestle Kingdom show on January 4th.

With the Khan's money combined with Cody Rhodes and the Young Buck's passion, Jericho seems convinced AEW will be a success. He also started dressing like a goth dad. It's fun hanging out with Bill. if the situation was right, obviously.

Before the interview ended, Jericho further emphasized that the TV deals they are finalizing will blow the professional wrestling community away. It was attended by 11,263 fans - making it the first non-WWE wrestling show to sell over 10,000 tickets in the United States since 1999, and caused shockwaves across the pro wrestling world. This could be the year true competition returns to the sport for the first time since 2001.
