Derbyshire Constabulary says officers were called to the club's training ground at 11.20am yesterday to reports of a man acting suspiciously on Morley Road, Derby.

Police attended Derby's training ground and told Rams boss Frank Lampard to halt training as they dealt with the extraordinary issue.

Derby are now in sixth position, while Leeds are league leaders just eight points ahead.

The club says they are in discussions with Leeds over the incident.

Early reports suggested that police had arrived on the scene to apprehend the man who was spying on the team's training session.
