It's nice to see Capcom providing a demo on PC for one of it's big titles - I'm looking at you, Devil May Cry 5 - even if it comes with a bizarrely contrived set of limitations on your playtime. That demo is no longer available to download, but you can play it if it's still on your console's hard drive. Whether you win or lose, the Resident Evil 2 demo will be capped off with a new, previously-unseen trailer, and that's all you'll get if you load it back up after your half hour has ended.

Using Capcom's proprietary RE ENGINE, Resident Evil 2 offers a fresh take on the classic survival horror saga with breathtakingly realistic visuals, heart-poundingly immersive audio, a new over-the-shoulder camera, and modernized controls on top of gameplay modes from the original game. The demo's 30-minute time limit has some fans frustrated, but others are just glad it's on all three platforms. While you'll be locked out of playing once that time limit is up, if you unlocked the trailer you'll be able to watch it as many times as you want afterward.

"In the "1-Shot Demo", players step into the boots of rookie police officer Leon S. Kennedy as he arrives at Raccoon City Police Station in the ultimate worst first day on the job". He must survive the zombie hordes while finding a way out of the station. Luckily, it looks like a Resident Evil demo is on its way - and soon!

Resident Evil 2's download size has been revealed courtesy of the Microsoft Store and it seems that it won't tax your bandwidth too much. The PS4 and PC versions of Resident Evil 2 should have a similar file size.
