This would prevent apps running in the background from being shut down abruptly.

Interestingly, this fix also applies to the Pixel 2 lineup as well, though I don't recall anyone ever complaining about memory issues on last year's devices.

Internet search giant Google has announced that it is now rolling out e-SIM support for latest handsets - Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.

As a reminder, the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL both feature a fast Qualcomm 845 processor, wireless charging, dual front-firing stereo speakers and Active Edges which allow users to interact without touching the screen. The Pixel ThrEE with EEsim (sorry - there's a reason we don't work in marketing) will be available "in the coming months". And while this wasn't an issue that affected every user, it's still not exactly the kind of experience you'd like to see from a $1,200 phone.

Launched in October, the Google Pixel 3 price in India starts at Rs. 71,000 for the 64GB variant in India and goes up to Rs. 80,000 for the 128GB storage variant.

Some of the other improvements focus on camera capture performance, notification visibility when using Pixel Stand, Android Auto compatibility, and USB-C accessory detection.

Google is working to simplify the process of you going out to get a SIM card and trying it to insert into your smartphone, instead, scanning the eSIM makes it hassle-free.

However, Google also releases the OTA and factory images for all its updates, and the December update is now live for those who prefer to flash OS updates to their devices manually.
