As one can expect, the discounted games are the ones that are in some form connected to The Game Awards.

The Game Awards are an annual award show hosted and produced by videogame journalist Geoff Keighley - this is the fifth year the show has taken place.

The show that brought you Schick Hydrobot is back, and we're sure the cringe will continue tomorrow, but that's not the only reason to watch the Game Awards. Keighley has promised at least 10 new game announcements this year.

The Game Awards kicks off at Thursday night in LA, live from the Microsoft Theater at L.A. Live.

If you have not yet voted on your favorite games, there is still time (as of this writing) to do so at The Game Awards website.

Why it matters: The Game Awards will air at 5:30pm Pacific on numerous platforms including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Twitch, and others.

Along with the ceremony, The Game Awards will also be littered with performances and reveals. The new Far Cry title could have been one of those big announcements we're talking about days later, but now it's just another footnote in an upcoming event we already seem to know much of the landscape of.

While the full announcement may have been spoiled, there's a possibility this wasn't what Epic Games planned to reveal at all and we could be blown away by something entirely different. Many of us are looking forward to a rumored Crash Team Racing remaster as well.

Several influencers have received teaser items from Activision including Crash cookies and a pair of fuzzy orange dice. It has been teased that players should "keep your game close" as the announcement may revolve around something going live in game immediately following the announcement.
