It's basically the gaming world's equivalent of the Golden Globes, if the Golden Globes were occasionally sponsored by Dorito's, or undrinkable new flavors of Mountain Dew.

The teaser begins with a nuclear explosion over a track of farm land, echoing the ending of Far Cry 5 when the cult leader Joseph Seed was proven right after all. We don't know how much of it we'll see at The Game Awards, but this could be pretty cool. Ubisoft has revealed a new Far Cry game is on the way.

Will it be a full-blown game, though?

I won't even embed the video until the end of the post-I will simply say that some sort of Far Cry news is coming during the big show tomorrow, and if you're interested, you should watch it.

Interesting stuff! The bucolic country setting seen at the beginning of the trailer strongly suggests the next Far Cry will take place on an atom-bomb-altered version of Far Cry 5's Montana map. With Ubisoft already releasing series spin-offs like Primal and Blood Dragon, it's fair to assume that this mysterious new title will be more in line with one of those. In the meantime: did you play Far Cry 5? What other games are you hoping to get sneak peeks at during tomorrow night's Game Awards ceremony?
