Leicester boss Puel: Maddison very upset with himself

Vardy scored in Leicester's Premier League defeat of Watford on Saturday but has been playing through the pain.

Watford struggled to contain Leicester's pacey attack and had Etienne Capoue sent off late on for a reckless challenge on Kelechi Iheanacho.

Vardy sent Foster the wrong way, and then helped Marc Albrighton to set up his side's second 11 minutes later.

The home side doubled the lead 11 minutes later after a quick counter-attack ended with James Maddison excellently controlling a crossfield pass from Marc Albrighton on his knee before volleying into the bottom corner.

Isaac Success, in as one of two changes, failed to mark his new Watford contract with a goal, firing over when it looked easier to score, while Roberto Pereyra shot just wide after the break.

What does it mean? I don't know for the moment.

"Every game is very important". After winning four straight games to start the season, the Hornets have looked like a team that belongs in the lower half of the table. "We needed to be strong and deeper than the last game but we needed to have the game to play counter-attack to adapt to the opponent's style", Puel said.

- Leicester City have won all five of their home Premier League matches against Watford, scoring 10 goals and conceding just once.

"Tomorrow will be another day, it will be for Jamie and for all the other players that feel something [an injury]".

- All three of Vardy's Premier League goals against Watford have arrived at the King Power Stadium.

It's certainly a touch on the baffling side that Leicester have - as can not be stated enough - ended four of their 13 Premier League games with ten men.
