Carey Hart took to his Instagram to share a photo of him and a group of men wielding guns, standing behind a sign reading, "Looters will be shot on site".

On Tuesday, Hart wrote on Instagram: "It's unfortunate that some people take advantage of others in a crisis".

Pink's husband Carey Hart has warned looters that they'll be "shot on sight" if they attempt to raid his house after it narrowly escaped damage from the Malibu wildfires.

While families in Malibu are busy fighting off flames, the former motocross star declared he would defend properties affected by the Woolsey fire against thieves.

Evacuation zones in LA and Ventura County have been left a ghost town following the raging Southern California wildfires - and now it's been targeted by looters.

According to CNN, Hart and his wife have a home in Malibu, which has been evacuated due to the ongoing threat of the Woolsey fire responsible for consuming almost 100,000 acres and destroying more than 480 structures.

Then, he added that "there have been sightings of looters breaking into homes" in the area. "Well, if you are a looter, think twice if you are heading back into Malibu", Hart captioned the controversial black-and-white picture.

For her part, Pink tweeted her thanks to first responders.

"Just need to say THANKYOU to all of the firefighters. All of the helpers", she wrote. "We're all so grateful for your bravery and selflessness".
