Now, we have a brand-new trailer for Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle, and while it does look more polished than it did before, it still does look a bit...off.

Netflix has released the official trailer for actor-director Andy Serkis' upcoming live-action film adaptation Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle.

The film will be released in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and London. It will be available for streaming on December 7 at Netflix.

Serkis takes on the role of Baloo and he's rounded up an all-star voice/performance capture cast to bring the other jungle dwellers to life, with Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett, Benedict Cumberbatch, Peter Mullan, Naomie Harris and Tom Hollander also involved. Thankfully, Mowgli has his mentors Baloo and Bagheera at his side to teach him everything he needs to know about the harshness of the wilderness and how to avoid ticking off Shere Khan, who refuses to accept the human boy as a member of the animal kingdom.

Walt Disney Pictures rival Jungle Book film, directed by Jon Favreau, grossed over $966 million worldwide in 2016, though Serkis has said his version will distinguish itself. But there may be greater dangers lurking in the jungle, as Mowgli comes face to face with his human origins. Freida Pinto and Matthew Rhys also star. If you're asking 'WHY THO?' it's because, unlike the Disney telling of The Jungle Book, there won't be any music in this movie.
