The scene which shows the director of the movie AR Murugadoss throwing a mixie and grinder into the fire has been cut out of the film.

Sarkar, which has been breaking box office records ever since its release on Tuesday, came under the scanner after ruling party AIADMK found certain scenes objectionable. Shanmugam compared the scenes (burning of freebies) in the movie with terrorist activity aimed at instigating violence against the state government. Unprecedented events transpired outside theatres across Tamil Nadu where the film's posters and banners were damaged.

AIADMK has alleged that scenes in the movie criticise previous Tamil Nadu Government of J Jayalalithaa.

The 2 scenes that have been agreed to be removed include removing of the name "Komalavalli", which AIADMK claims is the birth name of J Jayalalithaa. Meanwhile, the film's director AR Murugadoss has also filed a petition and got anticipatory bail in Madras High Court.

Certain scenes in the film, which show grinder, mixers and fans being burnt, have created law and order problem, they submitted.

Now the official Twitter handle of Sun Pictures has tweeted that the police arrived at AR Murugadoss' residence to arrest him, but left after enquiring about him since he was not there. Vijay, Keerthy Suresh, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Yogi Babu and Radha Ravi played lead roles in Sarkar that is produced by Sun Pictures.
