It seems like the device is still in the works, as references to it were discovered in the ARCore app. But it looks like Google is bringing back that affordability factor to its Pixel phones by launching mid-range devices.

He then followed the tweet up with another saying this device was codenamed Bonito, and also said the handset was now scheduled for release in the first half of 2019. A new discovery has revealed there might be a second phone that is codenamed Sargo.

While the ARCore is frequently updated with new features and a list of devices that support AR, the inclusion of the devices indicate that the launch might happen soon. Once in a while, it also reveals an unreleased device or in this case, devices.

Found within the code of the latest ARCore APK, the codename of Bonito has once again been seen.

The name Bonito was first revealed to be the codename of Google's mid-range Pixel by Roland Quandt months ago. The names are in line with previous Google device codenames which have have historically been based on fish. Google search both fishes and you will find out Sargo is smaller than Bonito. However, this is the first time we have come across the name Sargo.

We would however take all of this with a pinch of salt for now, as there's still not much to go on and this would be the first time Google has made a mid-range phone.
