Klopp said Liverpool lost their mojo during the Group C reverse on Tuesday and sought answers from his players on their return to Melwood.

"That's the Champions League and there are no teams that enter this competition that give you wins", Lallana said.

Having thrashed the Serbian SuperLiga leaders 4-0 a fortnight ago at Anfield, Jurgen Klopp's side will be hoping to repeat their heroics away from home in order to strengthen their stranglehold at the top of their group, ahead of key encounters against Napoli and Paris Saint-Germain.

"I thought it was a pretty good reaction in the second half, and had an pretty good chance just after half-time and if that gone on it would have been a bit of a boost".

Last term, when the front three weren't busy scoring so many goals, the rest of the team were getting praise for their aggressive pressing and tackling, especially in midfield. That can't be possible every single game. We have to do better because we can do better, but tonight it is too late. It's still in our hands and if we win our next two games we go through, but it was a great opportunity missed for us.

Liverpool have suffered defeat in the Champions League and Carabao Cup while sustaining an impressive challenge to Manchester City's defence of the Premier League title.

Adam Lallana is certain Liverpool will react to the disappointment of defeat to Red Star Belgrade in the right way. "There were a lot of moments when we could get in control of the game and we didn't do it, we made the wrong decisions".

The Reds had chances to get themselves back into the contest but failed to take them. "I don't think it determines what competition it's in".

Liverpool legends, Michael Owen and Steve McManaman have blamed goalkeeper, Alisson Becker for the club's 2-0 loss to Belgrade on Tuesday night.

"I saw a few games like this already and it is really hard to find your mojo back". Robertson insists Klopp's side will be confident of victory despite their poor European away form. "We need to move on and improve if we are going to go through to the knockout stages".
