PUBG may be coming to PlayStation 4 soon

PlayStation and Nintendo Switch are the only popular gaming platforms that are yet to get PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and if recent leaks are to believed then Sony PlayStation 4 is getting it soon.

The battle royale game PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has received a number of indicators that the now Xbox and PC exclusive title may be headed to the PS4 soon.

Two strings of Content-ID characters were also provided, one for North America and one for Europe, along with two images that the player said were found in the database.

PUBG appears to finally have a release date on PS4.

They also dug up two promotional images for it, which they say are hosted on Sony's servers. Typically games are not assigned these codes until release is imminent. ResetEra admin and game industry analyst at Niko Partners Daniel Ahmad seemed to corroborate the news, suggesting that the game will be out on PS4 next month.

That's not the only reason PUBG is in the news today though, as Microsoft has been tweeting about their X018 event at the weekend. The Korean game ratings agency has outed a PS4 version in the past, while an Inside Xbox documentary showing the inside of PUBG Corps offices showed a PS4 controller being used for...something.

PUBG Battlegrounds made its Xbox One debut on December 12, 2017.

The other game Xbox One users can download on the house is Pro Evolution Soccer 2019, the latest game in the long-running series from Konami. It entered early access on Xbox One the same month, and hit 1.0 in September.
