Tonight, Huawei will raise the curtains on its hotly anticipated Mate 20 Pro smartphone in fancy-town London.

The livestream is embedded above and will kick off at 1:30 p.m. local time, which is 5:30 a.m. PT/8:30 a.m ET.

Huawei has been using the "higher intelligence" tagline to build buzz around the Mate 20 family of ultra-high-end smartphones, but while advanced AI skills will no doubt be highlighted as a key selling point tomorrow, there's plenty more to be excited about. Obviously, the stylus looks like an additional accessory and there's no way it can fit into the phone like the Samsung Galaxy Note 9.

As it's done with the previous Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro, it's expected that the two phones will share similar specs and designs, but the Pro will likely have the edge when it comes to amounts of RAM, storage and nearly certainly price, thereby earning its "Pro" moniker. We'll have to wait and see whether the Mate's cameras operate in the same way as the P20 Pro. Hopefully it also comes with a huge battery so you won't mind giving away your power.

However, we are still expecting the Huawei Mate 20 and a Huawei Mate 20 Pro.
