Jordan Peele is traveling through another dimension - a dimension not only of sight and sound, but of mind.

Announced in November as the revival's executive producer, Peele will now take the role originated in 1959 by Rod Serling, and continued by Charles Aidman, Robin Ward and Forest Whitaker, acting as a one-man Greek chorus for the stories of the macabre and the unknown, while interacting with the audience.

Created by Serling, the original Twilight Zone series aired for five seasons on CBS, and inspired a 1983 film adaptation that featured segments directed by the likes of Steven Spielberg and Joe Dante. Last year, it was reported that the Academy Award-winning screenwriter was bringing back Rod Serling's The Twilight Zone for a hotly debated third reboot over at CBS All Access. In the clip of the host announcement below, you'll hear a mix of Serling and Peele's voices doing the iconic opening intro.

The reboot of the Twilight Zone is slated for 2019 on streaming platform CBS All Access. Peele's Monkeypaw Productions and Simon Kinberg's Genre Films will executive produce the reboot.

"Too many times this year it's felt we were living in a twilight zone, and I can't think of a better moment to reintroduce it to modern audiences", Peele said in a statement when his involvement with the show was first announced.

No premiere date for the new "Twilight Zone" has been set.
