As if the Nintendo Switch wasn't getting enough awesome accessories already (like that GameCube controller and adapter), it's set to become home to classic gaming NES fun!

The company sent out an email to all users Wednesday night with a reminder to ensure that all Switch profiles on all systems in the home are linked to the correct Nintendo Account, as going forward beyond Sep.

After teasing its arrival for what feels like a lifetime, Nintendo has finally confirmed its Switch Online subscription plan will launch in just a few days on September 18, 2018.

In case you've forgotten, the service will work basically like the Xbox Live or PlayStation Plus: You'll pay to play certain games online, get access to cloud saves, and basically anything else that requires connection.

You can pre-order the Switch NES controllers on September 18th, and Nintendo says shipments will start in December. We might hear about more games during the Nintendo Direct on Thursday. Both have offered online services for years, but at a much costlier price. Some of the games that will be available at launch include Dr. Mario, Super Mario Bros. Otherwise, the announcement has no other information regarding details for the Nintendo Switch's new paid online gameplay service, particularly availability worldwide.
