Nintendo Direct Delayed Due to natural disaster

Still, the company is delaying both its Japanese and English language presentations - known as "Nintendo Direct" - to an unknown upcoming date.

The stream has been delayed as a result of the powerful 6.6 magnitude natural disaster in Hokkaido, with a new time and date to be announced in the near future.

A 6.7 magnitude natural disaster struck the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido early Thursday morning, prompting Nintendo corporation to postpone a planned Nintendo Direct live streaming event related to the Switch and 3DS products.

Nintendo uses Direct events to connect with users and inform them of company performance, new products, and ongoing issues.

Despite being initially announced last summer, we haven't heard a great deal about the upcoming Yoshi title on Switch.

Nintendo Direct is Nintendo's way of showcasing all of the fun things they've got in store for their fans over the coming months.

Mario Bros. has been ported numerous times over the past few decades, notably being included as a bonus game in the Gameboy Advance ports of the classic Super Mario Bros. titles.
