In the song "The Fall", Eminem raps, "Tyler create nothin', I see why you called yourself a f--t, bitch", in reference to Tyler, the Creator. "I was angry when I said that shit about Tyler", he continued.

In an interview with Sway Calloway, Eminem apologized for using the gay slur.

"And every time I do that it makes that person - as irrelevant as people say I am in hip-hop - I make them bigger by getting into this thing where I'm like, 'I wanna destroy him, but I also don't wanna make him bigger, ' because now you're a fucking enemy".

"I really did like [Tyler] ..."

"I know [with] a lot of this shit, I can come across being very petty, but at a certain point in time, someone has their breaking point", Em told Sway. On November 10, 2017, Tyler tweeted out, "Dear god this song is frightful sheesh what the f-k", seemingly in reference to the track.

Many people believed Eminem had gone after MGK because of comments the OH rapper made about his daughter Hailie, but now Eminem has cleared up any confusion and explained exactly why he dropped the diss.

"I was like, 'Alright, I need to say something now because this is f****** stupid, '" Eminem recalled.

"I think the word that I called him on that song was one of the things where I felt like, 'This might be too far'". So I sat back and I'm like, 'Ok, that's fine, ' people can talk insane about me, that's fine, they should express themselves and they have a right to.

"Before the album came out, I had the conversation with Paul and we spun the word back, but now I realize people can hear what I'm saying anyways", Eminem said.

Regarding his freestyle Donald Trump cipher at the 2017 BET Awards, Em said the Secret Service ended up coming to his recording studio to investigate his intentions behind the public diss.
