PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Mobile Surpasses 100 Million Downloads

Tencent Games and PUBG Corporation claim that PUBG Mobile was the most-downloaded mobile game in more 100 countries during its first week of launch in March. The game is touted to be the "most accessible mobile game" - taking on Fortnite that is yet to reach all Android devices.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Mobile has surpassed 100 million downloads in just four months, PUBG.

PUBG is incredibly popular on PC and console, and the mobile version is crushing it as well. The game was earlier available on Xbox One and PC but in March as in the day when PUBG Corporation made a decision to leap to iOS and Android, the game become a craze in people across the globe excluding Japan, Korea, and China.

With the battle royale genre continuing to make its mark on the mobile world, competition arises as development on Fortnite mobile progresses.

According to Vincent Wang, PUBG Mobile general manager, he thanked the development team at Quantum Studios and Lightspeed to offer such an vast support to the game while he thanked the players around the world who showed their dedication towards the mobile version of the game.

The mobile version is free to play, unlike the original PC and Xbox versions that released in early access in 2017.

'We will continue to set the bar for mobile gaming and look to deliver even more great contents to our players later this year'. 100 players parachute down onto an ever-shrinking map and then scavenge for weapons and gear to try and secure a chicken dinner victory.

PUBG is now hosting a crossover event with the recent blockbuster Mission: Impossible - Fallout, and has been updated with new maps and game modes for the same.
