Nicki Minaj actually made a "Barbie Dreams" type song in 2007

While there's plenty in the lyrics to raise an eyebrow or ten, the song people are really focusing on is "Barbie Dreams", where she slams nearly as many rappers as were thrown under the bus during the "Hip-Hop Mean Tweets" on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" last night.

The third track off the album, "Barbie Dreams", in which Minaj name-drops Drake, Meek Mill, 50 Cent, DJ Khaled and more, had people on social media particularly shook.

But, Nicki has already pre-empted the hype and insisted that the track isn't a "diss", but that she's chosen to target people that wouldn't be too emotional about it.

Khaled - seemingly in reference to the recently unearthed comments that he wouldn't go down on his wife.

"I'll be conducting a live Q&A portion of my very first show", she wrote.

Desiigner, Young Thug, Kanye and Bow Wow also get a mention.

Nicki's ex-fiance even gets a reference for trying to get back together with her, as she raps: "Meek still be in my DMs, I be having to dump him/'I used to pray for times like this/Face ass when I fuck him".

Should we be flattered that the rap star actually thought of Wichita when penning the lyrics to her new song? But unlike, say, Pusha T's vicious diss track against Drake, "The Story of Adidon," "Barbie Dreams" is lighthearted and amusing, a point Minaj stressed on Beats 1.
