The Los Angeles District Attorney's office said on Thursday that it was reviewing new sexual assault cases involving three celebrities: film producer Harvey Weinstein, action movie star Steven Seagal, and actor Anthony Anderson, the star of the television comedy series "Black-ish".

Meanwhile, Seagal has also faced multiple claims of sexual misconduct from high-profile Hollywood women, including actresses Portia de Rossi, Julianna Margulies, and Jenny McCarthy, who came forward with their stories as part of a wave of assault and harassment charges in the wake of the launch of the #MeToo movement. It said it is reviewing that case, as well as five others involving Weinstein presented by Beverly Hills and Los Angeles police.

"A sexual assault case was presented yesterday by the Los Angeles Police Department involving Steven Seagal", a rep for Los Angeles County District Attorney Jackie Lacey told Deadline Hollywood.

The DA's office confirmed on Thursday that it was reviewing the three cases.

This image released by ABC shows Anthony Anderson in a scene from "black-ish". Last month, the Blast reported that a woman had gone to police with a claim that Anderson had attacked her past year during an event she catered for him.

Earlier this year a woman reported that Black-ish actor Anthony Anderson sexually assaulted her when she was catering an event he threw. The authorities have not contacted Anthony or any of his representatives about this matter. He has been accused by more than 70 women of sexual misconduct but has denied ever having non consensual sex with anyone. "Anthony unequivocally disputes the claim".
