Variety reports the FOX News correspondent has joined season 22 of the ABC TV show. Huntsman's casting comes on the heels of the departures of panelist Sara Haines and part-time co-star Paula Faris from The View. Huntsman made waves with plenty of her Fox viewers over her leaving the Mormon church over support for equal rights for women and LGBT persons.

Fox news reporter Abby Huntsman, 32, will be joining the cast of The View as a regular co-host of the ABC talk show.

Huntsman is also the daughter of former Republican presidential candidate Gov. John Huntsman (R-Utah), who is now President Donald Trump's U.S. Ambassador to Russian Federation.

Fox News confirmed to Mediaite that Ms. Huntsman will anchor her last "Fox & Friends" this weekend.

Huntsman joins "The View" after several news outlets have sought to burnish their Republican credentials with Donald Trump in the White House and Republicans ascendant in both the House of Representatives and the Senate. CNN is moving S.E. Cupp, a right-of-center host and anchor, to its Saturday lineup after launching a show with her on CNN.

The addition of Huntsman to The View will add a second politically conservative voice to the panel and surely make for some interesting debates.

She's married and has one daughter. Current co-hosts include Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Meghan McCain, and Sunny Hostin. I'm honored to sit here.
