Tamron Hall is making a comeback to broadcast TV.

The 47-year-old former Today show co-host inked a new deal with Disney/ABC to host a daytime talk show for the syndication marketplace, which she will also create and develop.

The journalist has been mulling the idea of a talk show for some time.

"I'm so thrilled to partner with Disney/ABC to create a daytime television show that's unconventional, fun, intimate and sometimes even raw", Hall's statement reads".

"My new partners appreciate and respect the relationship I've built with my audience and know that if we create television worth watching, they'll join us for the ride", she said.

Prior to joining MSNBC in July 2007, Hall spent 10 years at WFLD in Chicago, where she held a number of positions including general assignment reporter, consumer reporter and host of the three-hour Fox News in the Morning program. I'm so grateful and excited for this next chapter. "The landing makes the leap of faith so worth it!" she added. Her abrupt departure sparked a whitewashing controversy after her "Today" gig was canceled to make way for a new show with controversial news personality Megyn Kelly.

Hall, however, kept moving forward.

Hall previously served as an anchor for "MSNBC Live" and has been the host of Investigation Discovery's "Deadline: Crime with Tamron Hall" since 2013.

ABC expressed that the move to hire Hall was a good one.

William Burton, ABC's chief of daytime television, touted Hall's "boundless enthusiasm" which he said would boost the network in the ratings battle against rivals NBC and CBS.
