Bailey's potential has led to speculation he could be on the move this summer with several top European clubs linked and the winger has now confirmed that Liverpool and Chelsea have both shown a "concrete interest" in his services.

Liverpool and Chelsea are battling to sign Leon Bailey after the £40m-rated Bayer Leverkusen winger confirmed "concrete interest" from the English duo, according to Goal.

Chelsea have been scouring the transfer market for attacking reinforcements all summer, owing to the fact that star man Eden Hazard continues to be linked with a move away to UEFA Champions League holders Real Madrid.

'There's concrete interest, ' Bailey said in an interview with Kicker.

"We want to play for the title".

The Jamaican winger now plies his trade in Germany with Bayer Leverkusen but has been linked with moves to several English clubs in recent months, as well as AS Roma and Bayern Munich.

Other major clubs have also been associated with the youngster over the course of the transfer window , including Bayern Munich and Manchester City.

Having already impressed in the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen, the 20-year old has already racked up over 120 senior appearances in his young career, scoring 27 times and assisting an additional 28 goals for his teammates.

"But we did not expect that he would explode that fast".

For now the 20-year-old is focused on mounting a title challenge in the Bundesliga.
