The duchess wore one of her tried and true favorite brands, Alexander McQueen, marking the third time in a row that she has worn McQueen to her children's christenings.

According to Royal biographer Ingrid Stewart, despite its grand surroundings, the intimate tone of the event was set by none other than the Duchess of Cambridge.

"She has blossomed and looked more confident, beaming with happiness", Ingrid Seward said (via Daily Express). Since Kate is on maternity leave, she wasn't expected to attend the event, though Westminster Abbey confirmed she would be there when they released the order of service on their Twitter account in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Middleton was joined by her husband, James Matthews.

She later added: "I hope he stays like this".

Despite Kate's wealthy lifestyle, she has said before that she values things money can not buy - like family moments.

The Middletons were also all in attendance, along with Prince Louis' new godparents, carefully chosen by the Duchess and Duke of Cambridge. When Walter Cullen, 3, met Meghan and Prince Harry during their visit to Dublin this week, the little boy reached out to touch the Duchess of Sussex's brunette locks before clasping his palm to his mouth in disbelief.

But it wasn't just any cake the couple were serving at the afternoon tea.

Meghan is believed to get on well with The Queen after accompanying Her Majesty on a series of engagements in Cheshire in June, where they were pictured laughing and smiling together. The Ordinance was also attended by his older brother and sister, Louis - five-year-old George and three-year-old Charlotte.
