After winning a lot of hearts as the fast-talking sidekick Luis in Marvel's Ant-Man franchise, Michael Peña is moving from the comedic role into a brooding family man, Peter, who has a recurring dream about a threat to his wife and children. Much like he suspects, his nightmare does turn into reality when the planet is invaded by an otherworldly phenomenon. After a while, however, he believes that these visions are signs of the future. Now, he must do whatever it takes to keep his family from harm. This feature story involves an alien invasion that arrives after a father starts having nightmares predicting their attack. I'm going to hazard a guess that this movie won't end up with a happily ever after for everyone. (Not to mention the below poster's tag line, "We were not here first.") Extinction streams July 27th on Netflix. Written by Eric Heisserer (Arrival), it also stars Mike Colter, Emma Booth, Israel Broussard, Tom Riley, Lilly Aspell, Amelia Crouch, and Eric Tremblay.
