West Ham have signed Ukraine winger Andriy Yarmolenko from Borussia Dortmund on a four-year deal.

The Hammers have been in talks with the German club for the past few days, and have finally reached a breakthrough, securing the Ukraine worldwide for a fee of £17.5 million (€20m/$23m).

Yarmolenko, 28, has joined in a £17.5m switch from Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund.

Yarmolenko will become the seventh Ukrainian to play in the Premier League.

As for arrivals, Achraf Hakimi is set to join on a two year loan deal.

The 35-year-old is also said to have held talks with other Premier League clubs, including others across Europe, China and the United States.

Yarmolenko told the club's official website: "The Premier League is, not even one of the best, but the best league in the world".

The team wants to achieve high things and I am excited for this challenge.

He follows Jack Wilshere, Ryan Fredericks, Lukasz Fabianski and club-record signing Issa Diop in joining the Hammers, who will be led by Manuel Pellegrini in 2018-2019.

West Ham are reportedly hoping to bolster their ranks further with a £40 million (A$71.73 million) move for Lazio playmaker Felipe Anderson.

Sources have also confirmed that central defender Fabian Balbuena, now of Brazilian club Corinthians, is set to be unveiled imminently; West Ham have triggered the Paraguay international's release clause.
