The signing of a world class goalkeeper remains the primary target for Liverpool this summer, particularly following Loris Karius' high profile mistakes in the Champions League final at the end of May.

Dejan Lovren has now reached the Champions League and World Cup final just a couple of months apart but he's getting a bit carried away with himself.

"This feels incredible, especially after everything that was said about us before the game".

Croatia, with a population of 4.1 million, around half the size of London, defeated England 2-1 after extra time on Wednesday to reach the showpiece against France this Sunday.

"I think people should recognise that I'm one of the best defenders in the world".

This victory over England led Croatia to their first World Cup final and Mario Mandzukic's extra-time victor sealed Croatia's third consecutive win in extra-time or penalties, having beaten Denmark and Russian Federation in penalty shootouts in the previous two rounds. He deserves, if we win this World Cup, the Ballon d'Or'.

Croatia are now preparing for their first-ever World Cup final, with Zlatko Dalic's side surpassing the 1998 team which reached the last four in France.

He continued: 'This is something we will never forget. We beat our record of 20 years ago and we had it on our shoulders all the time, this weight. We showed our character, we showed that we deserved to be in the final and people should respect us.

"Now we have a chance to do something even better".

"It was tough first half". And it Is a special history when you look back and see that three times in the knock out stages we have played 120 minutes and yet we still had fresher legs than that England team.
