Is this DJI's next Mavic drone?

DJI had announced an event for July 18 with the tagline "see the bigger picture", but it's since postponed it without offering a new date.

More key features of the Mavic Pro 2 seem to look like a removable gimbal, larger motor, quieter propellers, and avoidance sensors.

As the release of the DJI Mavic Pro II (2) nears, more details about the exciting new drone are making its way to the Internet. And given DJI's sell for its postponed event mentioned "the bigger picture", it seems logical that the other key addition could be a wide-angle lens. The drone also appeared to have two different sensor sizes, with what looked like a 1-inch sensor equipped to it and a 1/1.7 sensor on the table. If this is really the DJI Mavic 2, drone enthusiasts should definitely get excited about it.

The image comes via DroneDJ, along with several notes on the likely specifications that the device may sport, according to what can be seen in the picture below.

The camera and gimbal have been fully revised in a similar fashion as the Mavic Air but the interesting element is the potentially replaceable nature of the camera, suggested by the secondary camera module circled bottom-left of the photo.

Another feature that was speculated from the leaked DJI Mavic 2 image is 360-degree obstacle avoidance.

With the entry prices to drones setting you back by a couple of hundreds and the numerous retailers out there, we compared the drone packages for four of the most common DJI drone models. There has been no official comment from DJI on the leaked drone.

The Mavic Pro's video quality has received mixed reviews, and while we'd expect DJI to launch any follow-up device with an improved camera, giving owners additional options would be a big plus and would also set it apart from the Mavic Air, which has a fixed camera.
