Prince Louis christening: Queen and Duke of Edinburgh to miss event

Prince George and Princess Charlotte have stolen the show at their brother's christening, playing up to the waiting media outside The Chapel Royal.

The intricate lace gown is a royal family heirloom - a replica of the original worn by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert's eldest daughter, Victoria, during her baptism.

Queen Elizabeth, 92, and her 97-year-old husband Prince Philip attended the christenings of Louis' older siblings Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

On Monday just before the christening, the palace confirmed that the gown would be worn by Louis once more to continue the royal tradition. He also performed Meghan's secret baptism.

Prince Louis is the fifth in line to the British throne.

Since Prince Louis made his worldwide debut after his birth on April 23, we haven't seen heads or tails of Prince William and Kate Middleton's youngest in public.

Following the service, guests were invited to a private tea at Clarence House, home to Prince Charles and his wife Camilla.

Van Cutsem's father was one of Prince Charles's closest friends. While Princes William and Harry looked smart in coordinating navy blue suits.

Harry Aubrey-Fletcher: He went to Ludgrove School and Eton with William and his father is the Lord Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire.

In addition to similar facial expressions, Princess Charlotte also appears to share similar lips, eyes, and nose as her mom.

The duchess added, with a smile: "I hope he stays like this".

Pelly, who attended the christening with his wife Lizzy, is perhaps best known for accompanying Princes William and Harry in livelier days on the London nightclub scene, and has previously said he is now "leaving it to the next generation". It was hand-made in 2008 by Angela Kelly, the Dressmaker to the Queen.
