Thousands still stranded in Charlotte airport

Another technical glitch forced American Airlines regional carrier PSA to cancel flights Sunday night and Monday morning, including several out of Wilmington International Airport.

Information posted on flighttracker.com indicated that the 7:30 am flight from Toledo to Charlotte went on as scheduled but the afternoon flight has been cancelled. A spokesperson for American Airlines told FOX 46 that PSA Airlines is having problems tracking flight crews.

According to American Airlines, the delay, which began around 8 a.m. and ended at 10 a.m., was due to technical issues with their regional carrier PSA.

At around 8 a.m. Sunday, American Airlines reported a technical glitch with their regional carrier PSA. "This issue is not affecting any of our other regional carriers or mainline flights", the carrier added.

On Friday, 675 PSA Airlines flights were impacted because of a technical issue, according to American Airlines. Last week, a "technical problem" grounded more than 120 flights.

"We understand these cancellations have been frustrating for our customers, and we are doing everything in our power to get things back to normal as quickly as possible", an PSA Airlines said in a statement.

"We're incredibly sorry", Cody said about the issue impacting hundreds of customers.

"Our customer relations team will be reaching out to those impacted and we're making every effort to offer alternative travel options", the spokesman said. We are also assisting in coordinating ground support with additional busses to bring passengers back to the terminal, as necessary.
