It remains to be seen whether Madrid will return to meet Roma's asking price but until an agreement is found Liverpool still have a chance to sign Alisson and he'd obviously be a superb addition to Klopp's squad if they could lure him to Anfield.

The future of Alisson has yet to be defined, though, it could be in Spain instead of Italy.

Real Madrid are targeting Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker and Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who in total could cost €230m.

Although Liverpool have faced serious competition from Real Madrid as they go after the Brazil worldwide, who's now on duty at the World Cup.

The La Liga giant is expected to make a first offer of €50 million for the Brazilian, with Sky Sports reporting that the player's personal terms are already agreed in principle.

However, That has allowed Real to jump in, negotiating a contract with Alisson's entourage while making an initial offer of £48m to Roma, although Roma is hoping to receive close to £70m.

Juventus and Manchester United are also in the running, but Milinkovic-Savic confessed to being a lifelong Real Madrid supporter.

Liverpool FC signed Belgian goalkeeper Simon Mignolet in a £9m deal from Sunderland in the 2013 summer transfer window under Brendan Rodgers.

The Italian outfit value their goalkeeper at at a higher figure and aren't willing to change that valuation.
