Lakers ask Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma to dial back social media insults

After being drafted together on the Los Angeles Lakers last summer, Lonzo Ball and Kyle Kuzma developed a close bond during their rookie seasons.

According to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne and Ohm Youngmisuk, the Lakers recently spoke with both players "about toning down their social media roasting of each other" because they "had grown concerned about the increasingly personal nature of some of the recent roasting". Overall, this is the Los Angeles Lakers we are talking about - not some Harlem Globetrotter team who is out there for entertainment. Instead, the team's priorities appear to be getting hijacked by a seemingly petty but distracting issue over the friendly social media razzing between Kyle Kuzma and Lonzo Ball.

Apparently, the two players' antics on social media have reached the point that the Lakers can't simply ignore them following the release of Ball's diss track titled "Kylie Kuzma".

The track included a lyric about Kuzma's lack of a relationship with his biological father.

They exchanged insults on social media throughout the regular season, and that eventually led to Kuzma releasing a "Player Hater's Ball" roast of Ball in a video produced by Bleacher Report.

"Everyone's had their fun now get back to work", Kuzma's mom tweeted Wednesday.
