Tyson Fury: Seferi Didn't Come To Fight, He Came To Run Around

The difference in weight between the fury and the Sefer was nearly 30 kg, whereas the difference in height - 26 cm in such hands equal match could not be, but as it turned out, the Manchester Boxing was not at all.

Tyson Fury eased to victory in his comeback fight as Sefer Seferi retired after four rounds at the Manchester Arena on Saturday night.

Fury outweighs Seferi by more than four stone, a point he jokingly emphasised at Friday's weigh-in by picking up his opponent and cradling him in his arms. The caliber of opponents will keep on rising.

Fury was eventually given a backdated two-year ban for testing positive for the banned steroid nandrolone and in exile he piled on the pounds while the WBA, WBO and IBF titles slipped into the hands of others.

Tyson Fury will now move on to bigger and better things with a fight at Windsor Park in August on the Carl Frampton under card his next stop but organisers will be hoping they don't get a repeat of these appalling scenes.

"He took me a few rounds so I'm happy with it".

Seferi, who was almost five stones lighter and seven inches smaller, did show some ambition early on but Fury's height and movement ensured there was never going to be an upset at Manchester Arena.

"I could have knocked him out in the first round but what good would that have done me?"

It was not always pretty from Fury, but it allowed the 6ft 9in Englishman to shed some of the ring rust before moving on to harder tests.

Seferi, a career cruiserweight, tried in vain to reach Fury's head with sluggish right uppercuts.

Fury in particular was clearly distracted by the fight between a group of thugs and the events have of course taken social media by storm.

Fury said he would be "straight back in the gym on Monday", while promoter Frank Warren claimed the Wythenshawe-born fighter would "absolutely" be prepared fight Tony Bellew - who has twice conquered David Haye - this year before setting his sights on the likes of Anthony Joshua.

But Fury's time away away from boxing has been far from a laughing matter.
