Millie Bobby Brown leaves Twitter after becoming homophobic meme

Millie Bobby Brown is done putting up with the hate against her.

After people made fake and nasty homophobic memes featuring the 14-year-old Stranger Things star is saying goodbye to Twitter. The hashtag had first appeared last November and has since resurfaced this month for Pride.

Millie - who has been extremely vocal in her support for the LGBTQ+ community and stance against bullying - has chose to deactivate her social media after people made her to center of this inappropriate "trend". While numerous tweets directed at the actress have since been deleted, the tweets were said to have tried to label Brown as a violent homophobe by adding homophobic statements and slurs to her photos. Because of the despicable content of the memes, we will not be showing any of them in this post, though some on Twitter have said they originated as a "joke". Sartorius has not commented on social media about Brown's account deletion.

The lil darlin" has been the latest victim of violent meme culture and has deactivated her Twitter after a series of memes started doing the "rounds that falsely attributed homophobic quotes to the star.
