As revealed by the Fire Emblem: Three Houses E3 2018 trailer, the game will launch exclusively for the Nintendo Switch at some point in spring 2019. There also appears to be some sort of free roam mode in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, so perhaps we're looking at a game that features some kingdom builder mechanics as well?

And, in battle, whenever you move a unit, formations of troops will move with them to support them when fighting enemy soldiers. It also showed a rich cast of characters battling with some handsome turn-based combat and attack animations. As you might expect, the experience is a graphical upgrade over Fire Emblem Awakening, Fates (Birthright and Conquest) and Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, which all came out on the Nintendo 3DS.

Now, Fire Emblem on Switch can help the series continue to grow. From the start, the trailer's graphics look impressive.

The armies' moves are still closely tied to the movements of the characters. With players moving along a grid to attack and defend their forces. This is because Nintendo will only be launching in the spring of 2019 which means that there's about a year left of waiting.
