Chance the Rapper Brings Out Childish Gambino at Open Mike Chicago

Even if you don't live in Chicago, it's well known at this point that if you go to one of Chance The Rapper's monthly Open Mike nights, there's a non-zero chance that something unexpected and awesome will happen.

Hosted by Chance the Rapper, the event was part of a regular fundraiser for an organization called SocialWorks, which encourages youth participation in the arts.

The night was held in the auditorium at the Harold Washington Library Center in Chicago, and only students with high school ID could get in.

The kids in the crowd knew exactly what to do when they saw Childish Gambino hit the stage. they rushed up to the front and sang along with every line of the song through the performance.

"My next guest needs no introduction", Chance said before the opening bars of "This Is America" starts to play and students rush out of their seats.
