Google One is offering new cloud storage tiers, better pricing for some of those tiers, and some freebies to entice users into the ecosystem.

And finally, Google One will allow a plan to be shared across five family members, with each person getting their own private area for storage.

Combining storage and support seemed to be logical with the users with paid storage accounts also tend to be heavy Google users in general as said by Google's director Larissa Fontaine.

According to Larisa Fontaine, paid subscribers of Google One expect some pleasant surprises, not directly related to cloud technologies.

The new pricing structure for the new plans include 100 GB for $1.99/mo, 200GB for $2.99/mo and 2 TB for $9.99/mo.

Google has introduced a new service to their users, Google One; it is a replacement for their storage plans that are now offered under Google drive. Also, access to extras from other Google products, like credits on Google Play or deals on select hotels found in Google Search. The company looks forward to adding more affordable plans in the future.

Google offers 15 GB of free storage for each account; the same will be applicable to all Google One subscribers, for premium existing Google Drive subscribers, they have introduced newer and more lucrative plans. Just to mention, Google Drive and Dropbox are top competitors which provide cloud storage services for their clients. The old 1TB plan has been replaced by the new 2TB plan at the same price. Now, all of that is called Google One. 10 GB, 20 GB, and 30 GB plans are available as before, you have to pay $100, $200, $300 for them respectively. Not too shabby. Pricing for plans over 2TB will remain the same but fret not, you will still get some new benefits for being a Drive customer.

Apart from the wider storage plans, Google one offers some perks including "one-tap" access to customer support for Google services and products. The support was previously available for G Suite customers only. The service is now live in the US but will slowly expand to other regions later this year. After that Google one is one of many subscription services the company offers, after all.
