Las Vegas police search mall after reports of masked gunman

A police spokesperson says no one has been injured and it's unclear if any shots were fired.

The Las Vegas police say an active shooter may be loose in the mall and according to reports from local news, police are checking all the stores inside individually. However, police say the gun appears to be a fake.

The incident began just after 7 p.m. PT on Thursday when police were called to reports of shots being fired at the Boulevard Mall, which is located on the South Maryland Parkway. Police are asking residents to keep away from the realm. "Police have not located this person and they are clearing the building to make sure the person is not hiding inside".

Boulevard mall manager Timo Kuusela told CNN said witnesses claim to have seen an armed man enter the mall.

In October, a gunman opened fire on concertgoers Las Vegas, killing 58 people in the deadliest mass shooting in modern United States history.
