Freeform seems intent on expanding its Pretty Little Liars-verse to Avengers: Infinity War levels and why shouldn't they?

The series is a spinoff of "Pretty Little Liars" and has received a 10-episode order at the cable network with an expected debut in 2019.

Based on Sara Shepard's book The Perfectionists, the drama was first put into development at Freeform in November 2014 as an unrelated series.

"The Perfectionists "is set in the town of Beacon Heights, a seemingly ideal town where a group of three college friends struggle with the stress of being overachievers".

"The stress of needing to be flawless leads to the town's first murder". The two are joined by Sofia Carson as Ava, as well as Kelly Rutherford of Gossip Girl, Sydney Park of The Walking Dead, Hayley Erin, and Eli Brown. Alloy Entertainment and Long Lake Media produce in association with Warner Horizon Scripted Television. I. Marlene King ("Pretty Little Liars", "Famous in Love") wrote the pilot and serves as executive producer on the series with Charlie Craig ("Pretty Little Liars", "The 100"), Lisa Cochran-Neilan ("Pretty Little Liars", "Famous in Love"), Leslie Morgenstein ("Pretty Little Liars", "The Vampire Diaries") and Gina Girolamo ("The 100", "The Originals"). Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum directed the pilot.

PLL's first spin-off, Ravenswood, appeared on ABC Family, now Freeform, in 2013, and was cancelled after just one season.

The trailer was released following the news that the Pretty Little Liars spin-off has been picked up for a full season. The franchise has everything: pretty people, liars, and of course, murder.
