San Francisco nurses demonstrate at hospital renamed after Mark Zuckerberg

Zuckerberg and his spouse Priscilla donated a whopping $75million to the San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center back in 2015.

The effort comes amid mounting scrutiny over the social network's handling of user data.

"We are in charge of keeping our most vulnerable people private and protected", Heather Ali, who works at the hospital in nursing administration, told the newspaper. Registered nurse Sasha Cuttler believes the hospital's connection to Zuckerberg reinforces patient's fears about possible data breaches and made a decision to protest by covering the name with blue tape.

"To give the name away to someone who has caused a great deal of harm in the world is entirely inappropriate", nurse Sasha Cuttler told Business Insider.

A group of nurses seeks to have the Priscilla Chan and Mark Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center renamed in the wake of recent privacy scandals surrounding Facebook, according to The New York Times.

Former and present nurses on the Zuckerberg San Francisco Basic Hospital on Saturday protested for the power to be renamed after current information in regards to the Fb information leak earlier this 12 months.

Brent Andrew, the hospital's chief communications officer, mentioned, "Look it's a double-edged sword, and I completely get the loyalty to the title because it was traditionally, however this can be a factor that's between the donors and the Board of Supervisors utterly". In exchange, their name is on the building.

"Had we identified what we all know now, maybe we wouldn't have accepted the funds from Zuckerberg", John Avalos, the previous supervisor advised the paper.
