Game times will be announced later. All games will be televised on FS1 or BTN.

If this does end up being the case, that rematch in the 2018 Gavitt Games will be exciting for Villanova and MI since both teams will be looking to make early statements about being serious contenders.

The slate of games between Big Ten and Big East opponents was announced Tuesday.

Villanova Wildcats forward Omari Spellman (14) and Dhamir Cosby-Roundtree (21) battle for a loose ball with Michigan Wolverines forward Moritz Wagner (13) and Zavier Simpson (3) during the second half in the championship game of the 2018 men's Final Four at Alamodome. Junior guard Myles Powell paces the Pirates, as he averaged 15.5 points and 2.8 assists per game to help coach Kevin Willard reach the NCAA Tournament for the third straight year. However, the Big Ten has a similar problem with the exclusions of schools such as Michigan State and Maryland, both of whom should be top-25 teams. In two additional Wednesday contests, Seton Hall travels to Nebraska and Marquette plays at Indiana.

Georgetown went 15-15 last season with a 5-13 record in Big East play during former Hoyas great and NBA All-Star Patrick Ewing's first season as coach. The Wolverines last played in the Gavitt Games in 2015, losing to Xavier.

Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois will be the home of the Gavitt Tipoff Games. Penn State and DePaul will be meeting. Rutgers will host St. John's on November 16.

Wisconsin basketball will open the 2018 Gavitt Games with a matchup against Xavier. Gavitt passed away in 2011 and was named to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006.
