New York State Police have identified the man found dead in the town of Randolph on Saturday.

Police say one was found in Chautauqua County, and the other in Cattaraugus County.

A missing persons report concerning Rodriguez-Colon was filed with the Lakewood-Busti Police Department on Friday, according to Chief of Police John Bentley.

Capt. Eric Balon of the NYSP said there was "no reason to believe" either case was related.

Residents found the body and advised law enforcement at about 5:15 p.m. Saturday, State Police said.

Don Robbins and his wife found the body near a log pile while riding ATVs and notified police.

In a media release, state police officials add that both are considered ongoing investigations and no information will be given at this time.

In addition, the death isn't believed to be connected to the disappearance of 35-year-old Sean Carpenter, who was last seen in Jamestown on April 11.

"We're still actively seeking information on the whereabouts of Sean Carpenter", Capt. Robert Samuelson of the Jamestown Police Department told the OBSERVER.
