On a two-day tour of Bengaluru division, the BJP national president, in his address to party workers, made it clear that the failure of the Congress narrative on saffron terror was going to be a poll issue.

On a day when Karnataka CM Siddaramiah termed BJP as a party of criminals, Amit Shah returned scathing fire by questioning what decades of Congress rule had done for the state.

People gathered in large numbers along the narrow lanes of this rapidly growing town in Bengaluru Rural district as Shah took out the roadshow. Subsequently, the Karnataka Minorities Welfare Department notified the Lingayats and Veerashaiva Lingayats as a religious minority, but said it would come into effect after the Centres approval of recommendation.?? "But now it has been proved that they were not involved and the real culprits continue to be free", he said.

April. 18 (ANI): On the occasion of Basava Jayanti, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah hailed the 12th-century Lingayat philosopher as a "flag bearer of equality". "The Congress party has done the sin to malign the great Hindu culture, which is spreading the message of peace and values to the world", Amit Shah said. He said that the Congress leaders should apologise to the nation on this issue.

The verbal battles ahead of assembly elections next month have intensified in recent days with both BJP and Congress leaders trading barbs. Now the Congress says we never used these words. "Siddaramaiah government has been shielding those who have murdered BJP workers in the state". Both Murthy and Siddalingaiah dropped their suggestions into a suggestions box prepared by the BJP for the goal of creating a manifesto for the 2018 elections.
