A spring storm brought heavy rains to New York City Monday morning, causing flooding in the city's subway system.

The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for New York City through 2:15 p.m. Monday, and maintained a flood advisory after that. Central Park experienced the most rain at 3.28 inches.

At another stop, video also showed water pouring onto the platform from the ceiling, over the subway train. The flooding appeared to be particularly bad in one subway station in Harlem, at 145th Street and Broadway, where water cascaded down a set of stairs.

The flooding comes as New York's upcoming gubernatorial race heats up.

Dombek said sporadic showers are expected to continue in NY throughout the afternoon as the storm makes its way north.
