Bruce Willis is said to bookend the movie as present-day McClane, who we've all come to know and love in the five movies that have come our way so far. It has bee reported that the project will have a Die Hard: Year One type of feel, in reference to Frank Miller's comic book Batman: Year One. The movie will be reportedly directed and produced by Len Wiseman alongside Lorenzo di Bonaventura. However, it has been dubbed a "part-prequel, part-sequel" as per the emerging reports. The series follows the adventures of John McClane (portrayed by Bruce Willis), a New York City and Los Angeles police detective who continually finds himself in the middle of violent crises and intrigues where he is the only hope against disaster. The news comes via The Tracking Board who say that the new movie, which has been in development for quite some time, is rumoured to be an origin story of sorts, in which we see a younger actor portray Jone McClane as a (relatively) regular cop in 1970s NY.
