Oppo recently tweeted the image of its upcoming F-series smartphone with the Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya. In the meantime, more and more devices embraced this solution, and at least some of them certainly did not need a notch. The smartphone will feature a notch at the top of the display similar to that of the iPhone X. The notch will not house any sophisticated depth sensing camera tech like iPhone's TrueDepth camera but it will support face unlock feature using its front camera. At Mobile World Congress 2018, Asus and other smartphone makers launched new devices with a notch covering the front camera and other sensors.

The upcoming Oppo 7 is quite similar to the Oppo R15 in looks which are expected to be launched in China soon. The released image suggests that Oppo F7 will feature a full-screen display and an iPhone X-like notch. Although 2:1 displays are now mainstream, the OPPO F7 comes with a 6.2-inch touchscreen that provides 2,280 x 1,080 pixels, so its ratio is a non-standard 19:9.

The high screen-to-body ratio - rumored to be 89.09% - and minimal bezel space also means the F7 will feature gesture control.

Apart from this, the smartphone might have a 25MP selfie camera, better real-time HDR and beauty mode and the phone may feature a dual camera setup at the rear.
