A missing person alert issued Wednesday by Allentown police listed both as possibly "endangered", a label given when police have indications of serious trouble. Authorities have also issued an arrest warrant on Esterly for interference with the custody of a child, according to ABC. However, investigators checked the Bethlehem charter school's records and found Esterly signed Amy out of school 10 times between November 13 and February 9 without her parents' permission.

In the Facebook alert, police in Allentown, Pennsylvania, said that the pair might be traveling together in a two-door, 1999 Red Honda Accord - Pennsylvania license plate KLT 0529 - and were last seen Monday at 7.09am near Amy's home. She would again call the police on February 15, resulting in authorities telling Esterly and his wife, Stacey, to stop going to the Yu residence.

A few days later, police interviewed Yu and she said Kevin Esterly had signed her out of school five or six times, according to court records, which led investigators to check Lehigh Valley Academy's records.

Mauser said when Yu's mother, Miu Luu, came to pick up her daughter from school on February 9, she learned Esterly had already picked up the girl.

Kevin and Stacey Esterly have been married since 2005, according to her social media profile.

Luu reported that her daughter ran away on Monday and that she had taken her personal documents and jewelry with her when she left.

When contacted by police, Stacey said that she last saw her husband at 6.05am Monday and that his personal documents were missing. She also said that Kevin had taken $4,000 from her bank account. The couple filed for and were granted Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2013.

Authorities advise that anyone who sees them or may have information should call Allentown police immediately.
